Wu Tao (The Dancing Way) is a dance-based practice rooted in traditional Asian medical principles designed to harmonize the flow of qi (life-force energy) in the body. Easy to learn at any age, each of the five Wu Tao dance routines activates and stretches specific meridians (energy channels) related to specific organs of the body and to one of the five elements of Chinese cosmology (earth, water, etc.), thereby balancing all our body’s main systems (nervous, digestive, etc.). The dances, performed to melodic music that resonates with the specific qualities of an element, help us experience beauty, harmony and balance. They still the mind, tone the body, and gently stretch every muscle and joint. Wu Tao is wonderful stress management system and ideal exercise for people who love to dance.
